I recently had the opportunity to capture some incredible photographs of the adorable Jordyn at my brand new studio, Boston Studio Rental in Braintree, MA. 

Jordyn is 18 years old, and a senior in high school. When she graduates this year her plan is to attend college and major in business. She would love for her future to involve music, modeling and acting.

Aside from modeling she enjoys singing with her vocal coach, Robbie Rosen, from American Idol. She also participates in volunteer work. This year she successfully ran a drive for the Merrimack Valley gas explosion victims

Boston Studio Rental Fashion Editorial in Braintree, Ma | Ashley Madeiros, Model

Recently I was blessed with the opportunity to capture some incredible photographs of the beautiful Ashley at my brand new studio, Boston Studio Rental, in Braintree, MA. 

The stunning Ashley has only been modeling since July and is clearly a natural, in my opinion. She is currently a student at Simmons University working towards her doctorate in Physical Therapy. http://www.simmons.edu/

Originally from Saratoga Springs, New York, Ashley plans to stay in Boston, Ma for the foreseeable future as she absolutely loves this city and all that it has to offer.

Ashley says her plans for the future are simply to succeed. She is very goal oriented and if she sets her mind to it she accomplishes it. Another huge goal she has set for herself is traveling around the world.

I wasn’t surprised to learn that Ashley is also a dancer. She started dancing when she was 8 years old. Doing everything from ballet and tap to jazz and hip-hop. Currently, in her free time she is on the club gymnastics team to help her keep in shape. That seems to be doing the trick.

I recently had the opportunity to capture some incredible photographs of the talented Constance Smith at my brand new studio, Boston Studio Rental in Braintree, MA. 

Constance is a stunning 26 year old plus size model and she is amazing at what she does. She currently lives in Boston, Ma however her family roots are from Honduras.

Constance is currently signed with We Speak modeling agency based out of New York City. We Speak modeling agency was founded in 2013 by Briauna Mariah. Their focus is on creating positive change in fashion advertising. https://wespeakny.com/

Landscape Photography in Providence, RI | Kellyn and Edward

Recently, Kellyn and Edward reached out to me to photograph some pictures of their home in Providence, RI. Originally Kellyn thought that her request was slightly unusual but I didn’t think so at all.

They had just relocated and asked that I take some pictures of their previous home for them to hold as a keepsake.

What Kellyn and Edward wanted to do was hang a professional photograph of their previous home in their new home. They also have a painting of the home in addition to a really old photograph of the same house. It’s so nice knowing that I was able to capture the beauty of this home and now it’s being displayed as art.

They were really happy with the photographs I captured. I had a great time taking these pictures. I love being able to help tell a story with my art. Being Boston’s best wedding photographer I am often the one that helps create that story through pictures. However, I always love hearing the story behind my work as well. I had a great day doing what I love. Now, one of these portraits is hung in someone’s new home reminding them daily of all of their precious memories. I’m glad that I was able to capture the essence of them using my passion as the tool.  I hope that you create just as many lasting memories in your new home.

Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph some unbelievable portraits of this handsome gentleman, Fuad. These incredible photographs were taken at my brand new studio, Boston Studio Rental in Braintree, MA.

Fuad made it extremely easy to capture impressive photos. He was a natural behind the camera. We had a great time laughing and joking while we were working together. I pride myself on being able to put my clients minds at ease.

Making sure that you are comfortable working with me is one of the most important parts of my process. If you’re not 100% confident with your photographer than it doesn’t really matter if I take the best pictures in the world your insecurity is going to show.

It’s critical that these types of photographs come our incredible. Boston Studio Rental Braintree, MA Modeling Portfolio | Nick Ilacqua

Nick recently contacted me after he came across some of the outstanding photographs I had taken at my brand new studio in Braintree, Boston Studio Rental.

Nick is a local electrician that is also an up and coming model in the process of building his portfolio.

I had just recently completed a Fashion Editorial / Model Marketing shoot that took place over the span of three days.

Through social media, which is just an amazing tool, Nick came across my work and he knew that I could capture what he was looking for!

After speaking with him for a short period we both realized that we were a good fit. In photography you have to be able to understand what your client in looking for and they need to understand your process.

If you as the photographer can’t understand what your client would like that how can you possibly capture their photographs? As a model you have to be comfortable taking photographs and part of that comes from working with the right photographer.

Once Nick and  I got in the studio it was like we had always known each other we had a great time laughing while working. Here are a few of my favorite pictures.

Boston Studio Rental in Braintree, MA Head Shots | Professor Dawn Fotopulos

Recently I was contracted to videograph the incredible Professor Dawn Fotopulos at this years ICCC conference at The Boston Marriott Copley in Boston, MA. After the conference we headed back to my studio, Boston Studio Rental, to capture some incredible head shots.

Professor Dawn Fotopulos is the associate professor of business at The King’s College, the founder of BestSmallBizHelp.com and author of Accounting for the Numberphobic: A Survival Guide for Small Business Owners.

She is an extremely experienced entrepreneur. She has rescued hundreds of small businesses from financial disaster. She has been featured on MSNBC’s Your Business and at the New York Times Small Business Summit.

As an entrepreneur myself I found her lecture at the conference very informative and interesting. She has a way about her that I just felt compelled to listen and soak up all of her knowledge while I was videographing her portion. She connected with the 500+ people that were in attendance, that isn't an easy task.

The Inner City Capital Connection was founded in 1994 by Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter, the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City is a national nonprofit research and advisory organization and the leading authority on U.S. inner city economies and the businesses that thrive there. The goal is to drive economic prosperity in America’s Inner cities through private sector investment to create jobs, income and wealth for their local residents.

ICCC returned to Boston for its fourth consecutive year. Since participating in ICCC, they have raised $40 million in capital, grown revenues by an average of 40%, and created 379 jobs.

I recently had the opportunity to capture some astonishing photographs of the charming Sharinel at my brand new studio, Boston Studio Rental in Braintree, MA.

Recently I was given the opportunity to capture several incredible photographs of the charming Carine at my brand new studio, Boston Studio Rental in Braintree, MA. Carine is 35 years old. She graduated from the California Culinary Academy. The California Culinary Academy is an affiliate of Le Cordon Bleu. It’s located in San Francisco, CA. The school was founded in 1977 and has trained more than 15,000 people for amazing restaurant careers.

Carine currently works as a plus size model. As you can see by some of my favorite pictures, she is a total natural. We had a great time during this shoot.

Carine is the mother of two beautiful children that keep her on her toes. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends in her free time.

Carine’s goal, in the fashion and beauty industry, is to help create a different “standard” of beauty to help promote diversity.

Boston Studio Rental Fashion Editorial in Braintree, Ma | Model Tricia

I recently had the chance to capture some great photographs of the dazzling Tricia. These incredible photos were taken at my brand new studio, Boston Studio Rental in Braintree, MA. 

The incredible Tricia is 28 years old. She migrated to the United States when she was 9 years old. In June of 2018 Tricia married the love of her life. She is a believer of Jesus Christ, which is a huge part of her life.

Tricia enjoys doing community service and volunteering. She is a domestic violence survivor. She shares her story of courage, strength, and hope with woman that have gone through what she has or, may currently be, in hopes that they find healing and purpose again. She wants her story to inspire others and bring awareness to domestic violence.

Tricia is also a great cook which she enjoys doing on her free time. She also loves to travel. Tricia has been writing poetry since the age of 13. She has her bachelor’s degree in psychology but is planning on becoming a licensed social worker.

Tricia does braids as a side job, which is perfect for her as one of her passions is making people feel beautiful.

I recently had the opportunity to capture some great photographs of the charming Skinny at my brand new studio in Braintree, Ma Boston Studio Rental. These photographs were taken during an event that our creative coordinator Niara hosted. Skinny is 26 years old. She was born and raised in Boston, Ma. She currently works at Mass General Hospital https://www.massgeneral.org/ in the cancer center. Massachusetts General Hospital is the first and largest teaching hospital from Harvard Medical School.

Mass General is a world-renowned facility that people come to for care from all over the world for treatment. It has an amazing biomedical research facility, located in the historic West End of Boston, Ma. Skinny loves working there as she has a huge passion for helping people.

In 2018 Skinny decided to get more involved in the modeling industry. She has used this platform to promote self-love, especially for darker skinned woman.

Skinny is currently not in a relationship and is living her best life. She is focusing on her masters in public health as she is studying for it now. She previously studied at UMass Amherst where she got into professional Latin ballroom dancing. Being an avid dancer she also absolutely loves music.

Kiara’s ethnicity is Haitian but she was born and raised in Boston, Ma. She is an artist. Recently, I got the chance to take some incredible photographs of the artistic Tyler at my brand new studio in Braintree, Ma, Boston Studio Rental.

Tyler is 25 years old. He graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2017. https://landing.onlineprograms.sacredheart.edu/ Tyler is from Cambridge, Ma and grew up in Ayer, MA.

Tyler just recently started experimenting with modeling but is hoping things take off, given the right opportunity, as he enjoys it. Coming to Boston Studio Rental for this fashion editorial was perfect as that is exactly what it was about this weekend, creatives being creative. The incredible Niara was the creative director and the event she put together was amazing.

Boston Studio Rental Fashion Editorial in Braintree, Ma | Model Janelle

I recently had the opportunity to capture some astonishing photographs of the dazzling Janelle at my brand new studio Braintree, MA Boston Studio Rental.

Janelle (Joe Diva) is a 28-year-old Capricorn. She is from the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Ma. She lived there until she was 10 then she moved to South Boston for about 5 years before moving back to Roxbury in 2005 where she has lived since.

Janelle is actively modeling and is always looking for cool and quality type opportunities to work with different brands that she can be proud of. Janelle attended Boston Public Schools, then completed her associate's degree at Roxbury Community College and her bachelor’s at University of Massachusetts: Boston. She studied Information Technology at both RCC and UMASS Boston. Originally majoring in Computer Science she opted out due to the intense mathematics. She then started a Biological Sciences undergraduate program again at RCC, which she is looking forward to completing in the near future.

Right now she wears a few different hats. She models and works in nightlife as a promoter, socialite, and an influencer. She is always looking for brands to collaborate with in the area.

As far as traditional work goes Janelle recently traded in her corporate job, which she worked for 4 years at an affluent independent school as a technical support engineer and engineer teacher, to work as a freelance technology consultant and developer. She has recently taken the first steps of creating her own technology consulting and contracting company.

In her free time she really enjoys traveling and road trips. Janelle loves being out of the U.S. learning and submerging herself into foreign cultures, seeing how other people live is humbling. She also enjoys nature and animals.

Boston Studio Rental Fashion Editorial in Braintree, Ma | Model Jackie

I recently had the opportunity to capture some great photographs of the charming Jackie at my brand new studio in Braintree, Ma Boston Studio Rental. These photographs were taken during an event that our creative coordinator Niara put together. Jackie is 27 years old. A Taunton, Ma native, she has an amazing five-year-old daughter with the love of her life. This long time couple has been together for eight years now. Someday, when they get married, I’m hopeful I will be invited to make some magic with my wedding photography skills.

Jackie went to Bay State College https://www.baystate.edu/ a private college located in the Back Bay area of Boston, Ma. She attended Bay State College for medical assisting. She is looking forward to becoming a RN in the future.

Jackie doesn’t model, but she talked about what a great experience she had during the event. Being a mom and a full time student leaves her zero free time, but if by some chance she gets any, she loves to do hair and make-up, practicing new styles for hours. Boston Studio Rental Fashion Editorial with Giovanni The Photographer Marketing Model Photo Shoot in Braintree, MA | Niara & Samari

I recently had the honor or capturing these fashion editorial photos of Niara and Samari at my brand new state of the art studio in Braintree, MA fifteen minutes south of Boston, MA.

Niara and Samari are sisters of Montserrat and Nigerian decent. As one can tell, they are both equally photogenic. Niara and Samari are beautiful young women and are up and coming models originally from the Boston, MA area. They have what it takes and are well on their way to being successful in the fashion industry. Samari is planning on relocating to New York to persue her modeling career. Niara is planning on opening an agency in the modeling / fashion industry.

Within the coming weeks, Niara will be hosting an event in my studio that I have been blessed to participate in as the lead photographer.  I’m looking forward to following them and all of their success. The ladies were both such a pleasure to work with and photograph.  

This photoshoot was done to enhance their profile in addition these photos will be part of the marketing and advertising for the upcoming event Niara is hosting.

The photoshoot was an incredible learning experience for these artistic sisters as they were able to learn new techniques as well as work on their emergent modeling style. Practice makes perfect and these talented woman allowed me to inject my expertise by following my direction. We used angles and triangles which in photography make for far more attractive photos. For example, if you see a picture of someone in a symmetrical pose it can be a bit boring whereas an asymmetrical pose is far more attention grabbing. Over the years I have learned to help make this look graceful and natural vs. staged and posed. Another technique I often suggest is turtling, by simply sticking your neck out this eliminates the appearance of a double chin or wrinkles under one’s neck and creates a slimmer appearance. They said, “using this technique felt a little awkward at first.” When they saw the finished product they were inspired and mastered the technique. I often also suggest squinching aka half-squint, which was a technique I pick up from Peter Huley. Squinching creates a sexier look verses looking like a deer caught in head lights and both of these ladies nailed it.

In preparation for this photo-shoot, these picturesque woman trusted my expertise when deciding on a color scheme. Niara chose a florescent green top, coupled with her beautiful golden skin tone this was a great choice.  The first thing I did was go to one of my many tools to help decide on the most complimentary color to go with green. I knew that purple would be perfect. Having over eighty different backdrops to choose from available in my studio made this an easy task. Another common question asked prior to most photo shoots is what type of make-up should I wear? In my ten plus years of experience I have found that heavy make up photographs the best. This is typically recommended on all of my photo-shoots whether it is for an engagement, wedding, family or maternity session. In addition to that I always tell my clients to come moisturized; however, for a more dramatic look, my go to for this type of shoot is natural olive oil. As you can see in these photos it provides a natural glow that isn’t over powering.

Olive oil is good for one’s skin and doesn’t take away from the portrait as baby oil does. In addition baby oil tends to create a greasy, oily look that is unattractive in pictures in my opinion.  Baby oil is also difficult to remove and in most cases can be damaging to clothing and equipment, whereas natural olive oil can easily be removed by simply using a baby wipe or alcohol.

As a professional photographer I know the importance of lighting, having EVERYTHING that a photographer could need in my brand new state of the art studio allows me to capture every photograph perfectly. All Photographers and Videographers are welcome to rent my studio at a fair and affordable rate.

For this shoot I chose to use my Sekonic L-3085-U flash mate light meter.

Using my light meter during the shoot ensured that the exposure was perfect in every shot. I opted to incorporate this device because of the saturated green shirt, which can easily be over exposed or blown out in photographs, which is very hard to see during a shot. Using my light meter allowed me to easily avoid this, it’s also extremely helpful during these types of shoots as there is a lot of movement by the model(s).  In addition to my lighting tools, my 70 inch 4K television allows us to see our progress throughout the photo shoot in real time which makes it that much easier to make any corrections immediately.

Harvard Campus Bridge Family Photo Shoot in Cambridge, MA | Charlotte, Blake and Carsen

I recently had the pleasure of capturing some beautiful family photographs of Charlotte, Blake and their cat Carsen in Cambridge, Ma.

We were originally worried that it might rain but it was a beautiful afternoon in October.

Charlotte chose The Harvard Campus Bridge in Cambridge, Ma as it provided a perfect backdrop. Also they live near Harvard Square so it was a convenient location.

Charlotte and her family were absolute naturals as you can see in some of my favorite shots. 

They are using these amazing pictures for their Christmas cards; I can’t wait to get mine in the mail. I absolutely love the holiday season; it is part of what makes being a photographer so much fun.
